error

Hi there,
I am getting the error below - any help would be appreciated. It's CRM 2015 on premise server.
"Processing A4 April 2015.pdf
File A4 April 2015.pdf was not uploaded. Please Contact your System Administrator."

Hi Hendo07,

This is a tricky solution. I suggest you try the following:
  1. Try uploading any other file and see if it works.
  2. Check the PDF file and confirm that it opens with any PDF reader(If not then file might be corrupt or some other file with PDF extension).
  3. Do you have any PDF reader installed on your system?
This error occurs in a rare instance when our code can not determine the file type by reading the header and we do not have any solution for that.
Another thing you could do is try uploading that file from any other machine as during our development/testing cycle it was detected only in one case.

Thank you for your response. I ended up using notesupload.htm which worked, but if I used attachmentsupload.htm if didn't work. I guess it was my mistake?

Hi Hendo07,

Both html files are supposed to provide different set of functionality.
  1. NotesUpload.htm - when you want to add attachment to Notes
  2. AttachmentsUpload.html - when you want to add attachments to emails.
I hope this clarifications helps. I could not unify the code and maybe that's the reason you are getting this error for Notesupload (it requires some MIME-type processing function).
